VILLAGE OF WILLIAMS BAY
COMPOSTING AND RECYCLING
The Village will collect recyclables at the curbside along with your refuse on
the day assigned to you. Monday is the collection day for the east side of town
and Tuesday- the west side. All recyclables can be co-mingled in the recycling
bin, but care should be taken to remove rings and rinse containers out. Items to
recycle include:
-Plastics numbered 1 and 2.
-All glass containers regardless of their color.
-Metal containers: aluminum, bi-metal and steel.
-Newspapers and magazines.
-Office paper.
-Corrugated cardboard.
-Waste oil placed in a non-returnable container, sealed container.
The compost collection center is located at the Street Department at 230
Williams Street. The center will accept your appliances as well
as your car tires (rims removed). Refrigerators must have the freon removed in a
legally permissable manner (verification required). Microwaves must have the
capacitor removed. Recycling bins are no longer available. Residents may use any
receptacle they see fit to separate their recyclables.
