SNOW AND ICE CONTROL

► The property owner is responsible for clearing the sidewalk that abuts their property of ice and snow.

► If the property owner fails to clear the walk of ice and snow within 24 hours, the Village will clear it at a cost of $40.00 per hour or fraction thereof. This means that whether it takes the Village 5 or 55 minutes, the charge will be $40.00.

► As you can understand, it would be cost effective for you to either clear it yourself or make arrangements to have it done without the Village crew having to come in and clear it.

► Village Ordinance 7.05(c) makes it illegal to deposit snow or ice on any public street (make sure your contractor knows about this).
