Villiage of Williams Bay
Property owners of vacant or occupied property shall cut weeds or grasses in such a manner as to effectively prevent them from burying seed or spreading to adjoining property. Section 66.0407 of the Wisconsin State Statutes and Village Ordinance 11.03(6) requires all grass, noxious weeds and rank growth to be kept cut to a height not to exceed one foot.
Failure of the property owner to heed this notice will result in the Weed and Tree Commissioner to authorize weeds to be destroyed and the cost of such work be charged against the property as provided for in section 66.0517 of the Wisconsin State Statutes.
The fee when cut by the Village, is $200.00 per hour or fraction thereof and $100.00 for the next half hour or fraction thereof, plus a $50.00 administration fee.
The Village is not required to notify the property owner of this action.
