For the past few years, the Village has endorsed an "adopt-a-spot" planting program in its parks system. This program enlists the help of resident volunteers to "adopt" an area of the Village Park system (usually a planting bed) and care for it during the summer.
After approving the resident's plan, the Village will reimburse them for their supply cost. The rest is up to the Village resident who will tend and care for their spot all summer long.
There are many areas available to adopt, including but not limited to:
- Lakefront settings
- Field house
- Village Hall
Residents are encouraged to use their imagination. If you care to adopt a spot, stop in at the Village Hall or call (262) 245-2700 for a truly rewarding experience.
